Magazine design is a very fulfilling and challenging part of graphic design. I think of it like a puzzle: I get all of the pieces sent to me and it’s my job to figure out how they all go together. When everything clicks into place, you are left with something you can be proud of.
This magazine was my first entry into a national design award competition and to my surprise and delight, the feature article won a 2019 American Graphic Design Awards from Graphic Design USA (GDUSA). I can’t even describe the feeling of knowing that people who see designs from all over the country recognize the effort you put into your work.
