I’ve always had a love of creepy physiological things, and Lovecraft was the master of that. His stories are interesting and have inspired some amazing concepts in other works of art. So I created an ebook of Nyarlathotep, one of Lovecraft’s most famous works in the style of a children’s book. I thought the clash of styles would be interesting, as this is a story that no sane person would ever read to a child.
I wanted to make this book more interesting and take advantage of the ebook format, so using InDesign, every page has some kind of animation that fleshes out the story. I also added a button that will read the story to you, stemming from my love of audiobooks.
